OneFocus - Privacy Policy

What OneFocus stores - locally, on your device

Your settings (timer lengths, tab-limit and blocking preferences, reader and accessibility options) and your timer/break state are saved in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage). This stays on your device. It is not sent to us and is not synced to any server.

What OneFocus accesses - and does not keep

• Web pages and tabs. To hide social feeds, show the break-lock screen, and render distraction-free reading, OneFocus reads and modifies the content of pages you visit and information about your open tabs. This all happens on your device, in real time. OneFocus does not record, store, or transmit the pages you visit, their content, your browsing history, or your tabs.
• Ad and tracker blocking. Handled locally by Chrome's built-in declarativeNetRequest engine using a rule list bundled inside the extension. No browsing data is sent anywhere.

The only data that leaves your device: feedback you send

If you use the "Report a bug or request a feature" form, the text you write - and your email address, if you choose to enter it - is submitted to a Google Form owned by the developer, so your feedback can be read and acted on. This is the only outbound data, and it only happens when you submit that form. Please don't include sensitive information in feedback. Data submitted this way is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.

What OneFocus never does

No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking. No advertising. No selling or sharing of your data. No remotely hosted code. No collection of financial information. No collection of personal information beyond feedback you choose to send.

Permissions

OneFocus requests broad page access so its features can work on the pages you actually use - for example, the break-lock has to be able to cover any page, and reading mode has to work on any article. This access is used only to provide the features described above, on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the extension's store listing.
